Spent Friday evening through late AM Sat in Heislerville, NJ on Delaware Bay. Right by the East Point Light House there. Our annual trip to witness the annual ritual of horseshoe crabs coming into the surf to mate and lay eggs as they have been for…get this…450 million years. 

On Friday we were there again before sunrise. Reed, my 12 year old son got up at 4:45 AM to come with me. I would have gotten better photos w/o him there but dammit I wouldn’t have it any other way. It was so sweet that he wanted to join me there!

Late morning we headed to Cape May for lunch and then to Wildwood for a few hours on the Boardwalk. A perfect couple of days. Next year we’ll have to plan for more than one night!
